This showy perennial grows to be about 2' tall and 2' wide. It grows best in full sun to part shade in dry to occasionally wet soils. Its clusters of yellow blooms emerge April through May. Butterflies and bees are drawn to the spring blooms and it is also a host plant to many insects, including a few butterflies and moth species.
