Juncus coriaceus, Leathery Rush is a sedge-like, clump forming, wetland perennial that grows to roughly 3', in full sun. Spreads by rhizomes. It grows best in soils that are wet to saturated and do not dry out. Excellent for riparian areas, ponds, floodplains and for erosion control. Inconspicuous flowers grow to form small seed heads throughout the summer. Provides year round interest with its evergreen foliage.
