Carolina Silverbell is a small to medium sized tree that grows between 10 and 40 feet tall depending on it's growing conditions. It prefers part sun but can tolerate a range from Full Sun to Dappled Light. It requires dark nutrient rich moist soil. Its showy white blooms appear March through May that attract hummingbirds, butterflies, and bees. It is also a host plant to a number of caterpillar species.
