Lobelia cardinalis, Cardinal Flower - this beautiful perennial can grow to 5' tall. It grows best in rich soils that are moist to wet with full sun to part shade. Its vibrant red flowers emerge late summer and last into early fall. Hummingbirds absolutely love this plant as well as many butterflies and bees.
