Taxodium distichum, Bald Cypress is a large tree that can grow to be 70' tall. It is tolerant of a wide range of conditions. Full sun to part shade, Dry soil to standing water but perfers moist to wet conditions, prefers acidic soil but can tolerate neutral and alkaline. Many specis of birds consume the seeds and it's a host to the Baldcypress sphinx moth.
