This perennial wildflower can grow to be 2 - 5 feet tall and 2 - 4 feet wide. It grows in full sun to full shade. It prefers rich organic and moist soils but can tolerate occasional drought once established. White showy flowers will start to emerge in July and last into October, giving it a long bloom time. It is a pollenator magnet that is host to many insects, including a few moth species. 
 
Found throughout NC, but mostly in the Piedmont and Mountains.
